Blinded by love

It appears that when you think you’re in love, quite often you’re not. You’re attached. Yes, you are perfectly, well and truly attached but not in love. Perhaps you are in love. Perhaps the person you are in love with is unable to return the feelings. Perhaps it’s all just fun and games until the excitement and joy is lost, never to be found again. I won’t get lost again. In the city, perhaps, but I certainly won’t get lost in this game we call “love”. How is it possible to be so blinded and unable to see the cheating and the lies? Why is it that we are so wrapped up in how amazing someone appears that we are unable to view their flaws whether you choose to acknowledge them or not? It hurts. It hurts a lot. I have learnt that nothing lasts forever. I have learnt all good things come to an end. I have learnt that everything happens for a reason and more often than not, that reason is what is holding you back from living your life to the fullest.
